Somewhere In The Hollywood Hills
If you want scenic in Los Angeles, Mulholland Drive is supposed to be where you go. So we looked it up online, checked our map, plotted into our GPS, and off we went. We found Mulholland Drive from our hotel easily enough, but once we found the road, things stopped making sense. Mulholland Drive is crazy long, winds all over the place, goes in several directions, and unless you’re local, you can get lost up there. After driving back and forth a few times, we found the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook at Fryman Canyon. Completely in the wrong direction from where we actually wanted to go, but beautiful none the less. The Hollywood sign was easy enough to find from the city, but finding it – or any other famous landmark – was not easy from the hill itself. My research was shoddy at best, and we could just not find the things we were looking for.
