Disneyland Parade
For any Disney fan, young or old; the Disney Castle in the dark, all lit up with the pretty colours, is a sight to behold. Back in 2008 I wasn’t quite the photographer I am today, and really didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I was just learning. Which is why a lot of my photos from California were either a hit or a big screaming miss. With emphasis on the big screaming miss. But with a Nikon D200, no idea how to work ISO properly, or how aperture/shutter-speed worked at all, I’m pretty happy with what I got.
The Disney Parade was amazing. The actors looked like they were dying from the heat, but the show they put on was stunning. I know they do a daytime parade, but the nighttime parade was gorgeous. The dark made all the lights and bells and whistles come life.
For those of us who love Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and all the other characters, Disneyland is a truly special place. Sure it gets hot in the sun, and there’s a lot of people milling around, and there’s lines for pretty much every ride, every shop and every exhibition – but it’s completely worth it.
